This spring, I took a trip to Victoria for a company meeting. The girls from Dallas, and I, decided to show up a few days early, and do a bit of touristy things before the meetings started on the Monday. So, on a cloudy rainy Sunday afternoon, we went on a Whale Watching tour. We saw a pod of killer whales!! A local pod called "J" pod. It was one of the highlights of the trip. It was really cool!! Having lived here all my life, and having been out on the water numerous times, I've never seen a whale up close before, except at the aquarium. It sure was an experience. Although, taking pictures of whales is not an easy thing to do. I got a lot of shots of fins, and the water, but only one picture of an actual whale of the surface of the water. I actually wish I had a video camera with me instead of a regular camera. Here is the best shot I took all day...
