One year ago today...

One year ago today, I drove to work for the first time in 4 years.
One year ago today, I got my first look at my new office.
One year ago today, I got to see some old friends, and meet a whole bunch of new ones.
One year ago today, my life changed so dramatically, some good, some bad, but it's taken me almost a year to come to terms with all the changes.

If you aren't aware, I left a job that I had been a part of for many years, working from home, and traded it for a job on the other side of the city, with a commute from hell, working in an office again, surrounded by people, some of whom I had worked with before. I suddenly found myself working longer hours, commuting for much longer than I thought I would, but have a wonderful benefits package, great pay, and travel opportunities (Louisiana once, Houston twice, and Calgary at the end of this month).

I'm still debating if I made the right choice. There are days when the commute is SO BAD, and the workload just too much, that I want to quit. But, then there are the days when I am really good at my job and I want to stay. It's been a year of ups and downs for sure.
