Solar Eclipse

There was a solar eclipse today, and while the hype was huge, the actual eclipse didn't live up to all the hype. At least not here in Vancouver. I guess if we had travelled to Oregon, or someplace where they saw either a 100% total eclipse (or even 90%) it would have been better. My brother-in-law did. He got some amazing pics from his travels to Portland...

Unfortunately, we had to work. So, I stood outside, and looked at the sun through a piece of welding glass that one of the contractors had. It looked cool, but I couldn't get any good pics of it. And it only looked about as covered as the first pic above. But, it did get eerily darker out, and even felt a bit cooler too.
