Coast to Coast no more

We usually listen to a talk radio program each night when going to bed. It's called Coast to Coast AM, and was broadcast in the Vancouver area on 1410 CFUN. Well, not anymore.
This week CFUN has switched over to an all sports format. They are no longer broadcasting the Coast to Coast show. And no other radio station in the area has picked it up yet.

Coast to Coast is an interesting show. It's kind of "out there" for me...it talks a lot about extraterrestrial life, ghosts, and creepy things like that. It borders on the conspiracy theorist's point of view too. But not always. Sometimes the topics were "news" related, and really interesting. They did quite a few shows on the economy and H1N1 lately. The show is on late at night (midnight in most areas). So some of the characters that call in can be quite amusing. Although, CFUN did broadcast it at 10:00pm local time, so it was nice to tune in a little early, and listen to an hour or so before falling asleep. My favourite part was George Noory's voice. He has this low calm voice. It seemed to be the perfect pitch to send me into dreamland every night. Apparently, we can buy pod casts of the show to listen to on our IPod....if we had an IPod.

Fo now, I guess we are just going to have to find an alternative. Or go without. I'm going to miss this one though. I don't like change.
