Friday update

Here's a quick recap of some things that have been happening in my life (mainly because I can't think of anything specific to blog about)...

- My brother and his wife did not buy my 'dream home'. They actually said it needs a lot of work, and is pretty run down. mmmmm....maybe I'll case it out this weekend, and see if they are having an open house. I'd like to see for myself if it's still my 'dream home' or not. It was 6 years ago that I saw it last, so maybe the owners just didn't take care of it.

- horrible week at work. Glad it's the weekend.

- Picked new tile for the laundry room, but had second thoughts. Didn't actually buy the tile yet (good thing). So, now it's back to the store this weekend to get more samples.

- Stolen Purse update....on Tues, I received 7 new cards in the mail. Count them! Seven!! I finally feel like I have my life back. It's amazing what an American Express and a Visa will do to your psyche.

- It took me 2 minutes, and countless Google searches to figure out how to spell psyche, and I'm still not 100% it looks right. You know when you stare at a word for too long, and it just looks "wrong". I think that's what's happening here.

- bought a new bed for the spare room. Nice comfy shiny new bed. And, I mean REALLY comfy!! It makes me want to just curl up and take naps all day.

- It's the end of April, and I still have snow tires on my car. That wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that we didn't have a winter this year. I can't remember it snowing at all this year, and it's been spring like weather since January. Hopefully, I will get a chance to get them changed out this weekend.

- I've spent the last few weeks purging junk from our house. We've given away seven boxes of things for donation. We've thrown out countless garbage bags of junk. And put out a big pile of old furniture, and junk for the Spring Cleaning last week. I decluttered all the bedrooms, the living room, the family room, the office, and the laundry room (it's amazing how much junk gets "dumped" in a laundry room!). Now, it's time to do the garage, the shed, and the little room downstairs where the hot water tank, furnace, and tools all live (known in our house as the mechanical room). But, for that I need hubby's help. He's been watching me whiz around here for the last 3 weeks like a chicken with no head. So yesterday, he turns to me and says that he'll help me clean out and organize the mechanical room this weekend. He used the word ORGANIZE! Bless his heart! Because we all know, it's not just good enough to clean a room...I also have to ORGANIZE everthing in that room. Which usually includes putting things in alphabetical order. And he knows that. So, when he said that wonderful little word, I just smiled. He knows just how to make me happy!
