Before I came down with the flu, we were out shopping and came across a sale on the Cuisinart Griddle that we've had our eye on for some time now. It was about 30% off... the cheapest we've seen anywhere. So, we decided to pick it up. Along with another little appliance -- an egg cooker.

I wasn't sure about the egg cooker. But, I have been making poached eggs in this little thing ever since I got sick. It's really cool! I've never been able to make the 'perfect' poached egg, as I get the timing all messed up all the time. This one solves that issue for me. Perfect poached eggs (and boiled eggs) every time.

The Griddle, we didn't use until this weekend (when I finally got my appetite back). Since then, we have grilled salmon steaks on it, and made Paninis for lunch. I love it!! The salmon came out perfectly, and cooked quite fast. I was surprised. My experience tells me that griddles don't usually get as hot as a stovetop or BBQ. But this little guy actually did quite a good job. I can't wait to find something else to grill for dinner!
