Old favourites

I still get a kick out of the Halloween versions of my favourite candy bars...

temptations

When I go to get my hair cut and coloured, there is the counter in front of the "colouring station" that has this wonderful little "flowery" gold metallic bowl full of little individually wrapped chocolates...

They are really good chocolates too! It is so hard not to eat the whole bowl while you are sitting there waiting for your colour to set! Tonight, I had one! Only one. I was so proud of myself.

Chocolate Beer?

I tried Steamworks Salted Chocolate Porter tonight. Chocolate beer. Yup, it's really a thing.

It's a dark malty beer, kind of like Guiness. But not as heavy. Actually, it was better than I thought it would be.
I use the Vinio app on my phone to track all the wine I try. When I like something I put it in the app, so when I visit the wine store, I know what to look for. I kind of wish they had an app for beer. Or maybe they do, and I just haven't found it yet.

ice cream lies

I bought some new ice cream a few weeks back. It said it was Triple Chocolate. Yet, when I looked inside, I saw 2 different kinds of chocolate, and vanilla!

It took me a while to figure out that the white stuff was actually white chocolate, and not vanilla. Stupid me!

new project

I found one of these at a craft fair recently. It's a Hershey bar that has been wrapped in a cute snowman wrapper and all dressed up for Christmas.

A search on Google for "snowman candy bar wrapper" has provided many different versions, templates, and a few "how to" you-tube videos. I think I might have to make them this Christmas.

They are back

They're back... in time for Halloween again... A new take on some old faves...

I made a promise a few posts ago, to post more items about chocolate.
So, here you go.
The latest fad apparently, is to rename some ole time favourite chocolate bars with quirky halloween type names...

Labels

I try to label all my posts. There is a cute little label app on the sidebar of my blog that tracks the labels of my posts, and groups them together. The higher the number of posts with a certain label, the bigger the label is. Click on "Family" for example, and you get 73 posts with that label.
Then I noticed it.
Poor old "Chocolate" was sitting there with only one post on it.
What???
I LOVE Chocolate. You would think that I would have posted about chocolate at least twice since starting this blog!! Only once!! I eat chocolate more than once a week! Just what am I thinking!!

So, here it is. One more post with the label "Chocolate", and a promise to post a whole lot more in the future.

chocolate delight

We purchased a container of Starbuck's Hot Cocoa powder from Costco about a month ago. It makes the BEST hot chocolate! Top it off with a bit of whipped cream, and some chocolate shavings, and serve in a Christmas mug, and I'm in sugar heaven!
