Reno return

This weekend, we did a bit more on the bathroom. I am now the proud owner of a new sink and toilet, both installed, working, and not leaking. It took my poor hubby almost all day yesterday to cut the countertop, install the sink, and install the toilet. That includes a trip to Lowes to pick up a $1.39 plumbing part for the sink drain (who knew we had inch and a quarter pipes, not inch and a half!) and a mad search of the house, crawl space, garage, back room, and shed for a missing box of plumbing pieces (turns out it was hiding in the garage). 

Today, we took it easy. Neither of us felt like doing much of anything today, so we spent the day just puttering around the house and back yard. Hubby did take down the light fixtures and spray paint them though.

We still have a lot of finishing touches to do. We need to sand down the door mouldings, and paint them -- paint, cut, and install the mouldings around the mirror -- accessorize -- etc. so, I won't post any pics just yet, until most of the finishes are done. Which, in our house, could be another week or so.  But the hard parts are done now.
